Key features and technology
- UV LED Technology: The machine uses energy-efficient UV LED lamps for instant ink curing. The ink dries immediately after exposure to UV light, meaning the finished product is ready for use or further processing as soon as it is removed from the machine.
- Colour Configuration (CMYK + White + Varnish): White ink (W) enables printing on dark, black or transparent substrates, either as an underlayer or as a surface print.
- Varnish: Makes it possible to achieve gloss, matte or selective textured varnish effects, including a 3D effect and a tactile surface finish.
- Precision Printheads: Xenons machines are most commonly equipped with reliable micro-piezo printheads, such as the Epson i1600-U1 or older DX7/XP600 models, depending on the specific revision and year of manufacture. These printheads provide high resolution and variable droplet size.
The main advantages of the device
- Compact Size: As an A3-format machine, it takes up very little space, making it ideal for smaller workshops, advertising agencies and souvenir shops.
- Print Durability: UV prints are resistant to weather conditions, scratches and UV radiation, so they do not fade quickly when exposed to sunlight.
- Textured Printing: The ability to apply multiple layers of white ink or varnish makes it possible to create raised designs and even Braille lettering.
- Energy Efficiency: UV LED technology consumes significantly less energy than traditional mercury lamps and does not generate ozone.
Applications and printing options
The Xenons A3 UV printer is an extremely versatile tool for the advertising industry. It enables direct printing on materials such as:
- Plastics: Acrylic (Plexiglas), PVC, ABS and phone cases made of silicone or plastic.
- Rigid materials: Glass, ceramics, tiles, wood, plywood, metal and aluminium.
- Accessories and promotional items: Pens, USB flash drives, notebooks, lighters, keyrings, trophies and clocks.
Thanks to the optional rotary attachment, selected versions of the machine can also print on cylindrical objects such as bottles, thermal flasks and mugs.
